Congratulations to Dylan Huang for winning 2x Third Prize at the GLORY Int'l Music Competition 2018!
Dylan participated in the Romantic Music category in the age group 7 to 10 years and received the Award

from the Professional Jury Board and from the Students Jury Group.

 

Royal Conservatory Center Certificate of Excellence Award October 2018

Congratulations to Bailee Lin and Greyson Porth on receiving

the 2018 Royal Conservatory Center Certificate of Excellence Award!
Bailee received this award for her piano exams level 2 (fall 2017) and level 3 (spring 2018).
Greyson received this award for his piano exam level 4 (summer 2018).
The Center Certificate of Excellence is awarded to students who achieved the highest mark in their examination center

in each level and discipline.

 

Southwestern Youth Music Festival July 2018 

Dylan Huang adds another award to his list: Second Prize in the “Piano Open Baroque Category” (Age 8 or under)

at the Southwestern Youth Music Festival held at CSULB.

Open categories are designed for superior students.

Great accomplishment, especially for being again the youngest in the group of winners. Congratulations!

 

"Golden Classical Music Awards" International Competition, New York 2018 

Dylan Huang, 7-year-old student of Herbert Waltl, has been chosen as a FIRST PRIZE Winner

of the 2018 "Golden Classical Music Awards" International Competition, New York.

This is the second time Dylan received this award; and the second time he has been selected to perform

in the Winners’ Recital at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York this fall.

Steinway Junior Piano Competition May 2018

7-year-old Dylan Huang competed in the Steinway Competition (5/5/18; Div. I - Ages 9 and under) in San Marcos

against more than 90 contestants from all over California and won third place! Huge success! Congratulations!

 

CAPMT Sonata/Sonatina Competition May 2018

Dylan Huang, piano, won FIRST PLACE at CAPMT’s Sonata/Sonatina competition.

at MTAC’s highly competitive Scholarship Audition on May 5th. Huge Congratulations to multi-talented Sofia!!

 

Long Beach USD Wind and String Solo Adjudication April 2018

Great success for SOFIA BRYS, cello student of Hans Goldstein, at the Long Beach USD Wind and String Solo Adjudication.

Sofia received the highest grade “SUPERIOR” for her performance of Bach’s Bourrée 1 - Suite No. 3. Congratulations

 

CAPMT Spring Festival April 2018

CAPMT District 3 president Lina Lee welcomed 18 performers, their teachers, parents and friends to

CAPMT’s first Spring Festival which was held at Hc on April 15th.

Distinguished Prof. Antoinette Perry (USC Thornton School of Music) was the adjudicator for the talented young pianists.

Great Composers International Music Competition 2018

Huge Congratulations to MAYUKO NAGATA and DYLAN HUANG on their amazing results

at the Great Composers International Music Competition.
Both of Herbert Waltl’s students made it to the final round in “The Music of Austria & Germany” division.

Dylan won first prize in the age category 5-7! Mayuko won second prize in the age category 17-19!
